Chat

 

 

The Chat interface for the TrilogyEC consists of three main areas, they are:

 

 

Chat

 

 

The Chat window is the where all text that is entered into the TrilogyEC will appear after it has been submitted.  You may also choose to be notified of various events via a system generated chat message.  These notifications can be set in the Alerts section of Config.

 

Type Message

In this field, type your message.  Once you have finished typing, you may click the send button (found to the right of this window) or simply hit the ENTER key.  Once you send your chat message, the TrilogyEC will display to you what is has turned your text into (cipher text).  This cipher text is transformed back to your message on the recipient's computer.

 

Send To Use the Send To drop down menu to select the person that you wish to send your message to.  You may also select ALL to send the message to all current participants in this TrilogyEC session.

 

 

There are three buttons above the upper right hand corner of the chat area, they are (from left to right):

Save

This button allows you to save the text chat from any given session to an encrypted file on your computer.  This file can only be accessed from your TrilogyEC account.  If you change your TrilogyEC password, any chats saved using an older password will be lost.

 

Open This button allows you to open or load a TrilogyEC chat session saved at an earlier time.  Because chats are encrypted using your personal password, you may only access chat sessions saved by your TrilogyEC user account.
Print This button allows you to print the text from the current TrilogyEC chat sessions.
