Advanced Configuration Options

The TrilogyEC has several advanced configuration options that can be adjusted by adding various switches to the program's shortcut target path.  To access the target path, simply right click on the shortcut to the TrilogyEC (perform this task on whichever shortcut that you use to launch the TrilogyEC).  Once each switch is applied, you will see a notification when you launch the TrilogyEC of the action taken.  The switches are as follows:

Custom Port

Silent Mode

Outgoing Only

No Intro

Multiple Switches

Custom Port

By default, the TrilogyEC uses TCP port 80 for all communications.  The Custom Port switch allows you to change the communications port of the TrilogyEC.  Once this switch is applied, only other TrilogyEC's that have been configured to use the same port will be able to communicate with you.

Syntax / Usage

 -p <PORT#>

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -p 8080

Silent Mode

The Silent Mode switch allows to disable all sounds within the TrilogyEC.

Syntax / Usage

 -s

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -s

Outgoing Only

The Outgoing Only switch can be applied to eliminate ALL incoming calls.  This will also restrict all incoming file transfers and buddy updates.

Syntax / Usage

 -o

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -o

No Intro You can use the No Intro switch to prevent the TrilogyEC intro from playing.  Note, you can also simply click on the intro as it is playing to skip it.

Syntax / Usage

 -i

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -i

No Files The No Files switch can be used to prevent incoming file transfers.  Once this switch is applied, you will not be able to receive any files via the TrilogyEC.

Syntax / Usage

 -f

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -f

Multiple Switches You can apply the above switches in any order and in conjunction with one another.  Simply add each desired switch separated by spaces.

Syntax / Usage

example:

"C:\Program Files\TrilogyEC Professional Edition\TrilogyEC.exe" -f -s -p 8080 -i -o
