About CETA

CETA is an application that has been designed to help network administrators and those responsible for Net-Centric applications better assess any communication problem that they may encounter.  CETA provides users the ability to determine the reality of Firewall port openings, actual network latency between sites and an appropriate gauge of the network bandwidth available to users at the time of test.

CETA consists of three functional areas.  The first is the CETA Firewall Analyzer.  The Firewall Analyzer provides users the ability to determine if the firewall ports required for a specific Net-Centric application and it's various clients are open.  In the event that required ports are closed, CETA provides concerned parties with a printable report that can be delivered to the appropriate personnel in order to have the firewall configuration changed.   This type of report is also quite useful in providing important, factual information to server administrators & other communication / collaboration personnel.

The second functional area of CETA is the Bandwidth Tester.  The Bandwidth Tester provides users the ability to determine if the necessary bandwidth is available between specific Net-Centric applications and identified clients to allow for successful conference communication.  The data generated by this tool helps server administrators determine the exact points on a network that are best suited for such communication, thus positively contributing to the decision making process.

Lastly, the CETA Stability Monitor provides users the ability to determine how stable and reliable a particular link between two identified computers truly is.  In the event that a link is unstable, CETA provides concerned parties with a printable report that can be delivered to the appropriate personnel in order to have the physical network links examined and or adjusted.   This type of report is also quite useful in providing important, factual information to server administrators & other communication / collaboration personnel.
